"On The Buses" - The Leeds Running day 2018
Sunday 19th August saw heritage vehicles in traffic for The Leeds Running Day 2018.
The event, organised in co-operation with our friends, Classic Connections, Bradford, gave the public the opportunity to travel between some of the great historical sites around the City Of Leeds.
Visitors could ride on a boat at Thwaite Mills, a steam train at the Middleton Railway, see how medical science has progressed at the Thackray Medical Museum or discover our rich industrial heritage at the Leeds Industrial Museum!.
Services at the running day were provided by old buses from around the Leeds & Yorkshire area, with some treats from further afield!.
The bus fleet was supplemented by the wonderful coach fleet of Classic Connections, Wallace Arnold being the ever popular theme!. Coach trips were scheduled at 1200, 1400 & 1600, all fully booked and exceedingly popular with the public and enthusiasts alike!.
The Black Prince fleet was represented by Mercedes-Benz pair, 441 & 577.
The day proved to be a great success, with visitor numbers exceeding expectations on what proved to be a dull but thankfully dry day.
My sincere thanks are extended to all who helped, attended and enjoyed our day, we hope to see you again next year!.
